OVERVIEW

Northwest Territories Forest Fire program is organized into five regional offices, with their headquarters located in Fort Smith, as part of the Forest Management Divison.

Their five regional offices are as follows:

  • South Slave Lake Region (Fort Smith)

  • Dehcho Region (Fort Simpson)

  • Inuvik Region (Inuvik)

  • Sahtu Region (Normal Wells)

  • North Slave Region (Yellowknife)

Boots on the Ground is approximately 132 people, configured into 4-person Initial Attack Crews, totalling 33 crews overall.
