US National Wildland Firefighter Day

In the US, July 2 is National Wildland Firefighter Day (NWFFD), a day to honour the dedication and sacrifices of wildland firefighters. It includes all those on the frontlines—federal, state, local, Tribal, military, rural, contract crews, and support teams—who work tirelessly to protect lives, property, and natural and cultural resources.

NWFFD is a time to recognize the incredible effort and skill that wildland firefighters bring to their work every year. To show your support, take a moment to reflect, share a message of thanks, or participate in activities that promote firefighter safety and well-being. Together, we honour the strength and resilience of the global wildland fire community.
