Today’s Overview

Today we moved up to Prep Level 4, based on the activity in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and to some extent Ontario as well.

Based on the numbers alone, Saskatchewan managed to put on over 200,000 ha’s of fire on the landscape yesterday. Manitoba increased it numbers of hectare’s burnt, but nothing like in Saskatchewan.

I suspect there will be a lot more resource requests flowing over the next few days, as Alberta is expected to start popping a number of lighting strikes too.
