Today’s Overview

Before we get into today’s SitRep, just a quick note about yesterdays.

I pull my information from the CIFFC website, like many other people. Well it seems that yesterday there was a bit of a typo - as can happen when dealing with lots of numbers and what not. So while yesterday it was reported that over 20 million ha’s had burnt, it was probably supposed to be 2 million. Still a lot, but also a LOT less than 20 million. It seems that things have been changed on their side, I will not be updating yesterdays report. But I did want to flag I am aware of the error and happy to report that we are not at 20 millon ha’s. But it does feel like it already.

On to today’s report. Seems our friends in the far north are slowly building up. Both territories are showing Prep Level 2 for the first time together this year. And as we move into the weekend, we already know that those with high fire loads are expecting to blow up even more.

Stay tuned and keeps your fingers crossed it’s not as bad as they’re saying. And this is all relative, because really - it’s already nuts.
